Gift Ideas for Pets (and Their Owners!)

We will not judge anyone’s choice of life companion, even if that cute exotic pet is likely to take a bite out of the owners later in the growth cycle.

This is a post about pet gift ideas and not pet gifts. These are usually a bad idea. Julius Caesar purportedly bought Cleopatra a snake for her birthday and we know how that worked out. If you are planning on giving a pet as a gift read elsewhere but please heed this advice: no exotic pets please! The thought of getting chased round the back garden by a hungry member of the family does not occur to most buyers of animal gifts.
